A Joyful Ministry Rooted in Inclusion and Community

Joyfully Made Fellowship began as a youth praise team at Wesley Church in Quarryville. When many of the original members went off to college, got married, or moved away, the group that remained included several individuals with special needs and disabilities who loved to sing. After listening to the desires of the students and their families, it became clear that the heart of the group was simply being together.

Joyfully Made Fellowship transitioned into a youth group-style format that included meals, lessons or activities, and music to end the night. Over time, the ministry grew to include two evening gatherings per month, field trips, monthly respite events, a weekly Sunday school class, and a parent and caregiver support group.

Just before the COVID-19 pandemic, Tami felt led by God to go “beyond the walls of Wesley Church.” With the support of the church's pastoral staff, Joyfully Made Fellowship became an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Not long after, the ministry was blessed with the opportunity to rent a full church building at a reasonable cost.

Today, Joyfully Made Fellowship continues to offer regular gatherings, Sunday fellowship, support groups, and respite events. The organization also hosts special annual events like a Prom Night, a Day of Rejuvenation for moms and caregivers, a Talent Show, and more—creating joyful, inclusive spaces for individuals and families affected by disability.
