For Megan Butt, photography began as a way to capture memories for her own family. After her second child was born, she realized hiring a photographer every year might not be affordable — so she picked up a camera and started learning.

Eight years later, Megan Butt Photography now serves clients across Central PA, parts of Maryland, New Jersey, Philadelphia, and beyond.

Megan loves building long-term connections. Many of her clients come to her for wedding photos and return year after year as their families grow. Being part of those milestones is what she finds most rewarding.

“I love being able to capture some of their memories in photos that they will cherish forever.”

She also knows there’s much more to photography than people expect. It takes time to understand your camera, find the right angles, adjust lighting, pose clients, and bring everything together through editing. Every session is built around making people feel their best in front of the lens.

And she brings personality to the process too. One of her early weddings featured a ring bearer that was an emotional support alligator, dressed in a tuxedo t-shirt and walking down the aisle with the rings tied to its leash.

Beyond photography, Megan is a serious Phillies fan and loves following the league in detail. That same passion and energy shows up in her work.
