From Dream to Local Favorite
Shop Eight 16 began as a shared dream between Vanessa and her husband. They always wanted to open a consignment shop, and in 2022, everything finally aligned. The result is a welcoming space on Columbia Avenue where people can buy and sell clothing, shoes, and home decor at prices that make sense for real families.
A Shop That Feels Like Home
What makes this place special is how personal it feels. Vanessa loves the daily interactions — from chatting with customers to working with consignors who trust her with their items. She takes pride in creating a space where people feel comfortable, welcome, and genuinely excited to visit.
“I enjoy all of our consigners and customers, and I love seeing their joy when they find something they love.”
The journey to opening the store happened while helping a local dance studio find a new space. That same building ended up being a perfect home for both businesses. Now, Shop Eight 16 shares space with Ah’Mour Dance Academy, a studio Vanessa speaks about with real warmth and admiration.
Vanessa also speaks highly of other local favorites like Frogtown Cafe, a spot known for great food and making every visitor feel like family.
