From Dream to Local Favorite
Shop Eight 16 began as a shared dream between Vanessa and her husband. They always wanted to open a consignment shop, and in 2022, everything finally aligned. The result is a welcoming space on Columbia Avenue where people can buy and sell clothing, shoes, and home decor at prices that make sense for real families.
A Shop That Feels Like Home
What makes this place special is how personal it feels. Vanessa loves the daily interactions, from chatting with customers to working with consignors who trust her with their items. She takes pride in creating a space where people feel comfortable, welcome, and genuinely excited to visit.
“I enjoy all of our consigners and customers, and I love seeing their joy when they find something they love.”
The journey to opening the store happened while helping a local dance studio find a new space. That same building ended up being a perfect home for both businesses. Now, Shop Eight 16 shares space with Ah’Mour Dance Academy, a studio Vanessa speaks about with real warmth and admiration.
Vanessa also speaks highly of other local favorites like Frogtown Cafe, a spot known for great food and making every visitor feel like family.
